Larchmont Yacht Club (NY) hosted its classic spring opening race – the 32.0 nm Edlu Distance Race. The course goes from the Larchmont Breakwater to Gong 11B off Eaton’s Neck and back. The non-spinnaker fleet course is approximately 20.0 nm. Sailors saw a mostly light air race with 8-10 knots of breeze. Winning the J/88 class was Ken & Drew Hall’s NEVERMORE, followed by Doug Grover’s J-GRO in second and Iris Vogel’s DEVIATION in third.
