The first weekend in June has traditionally been the first major one-design regatta for most offshore keelboat sailors on Long Island Sound. Hosted by the Cedar Point Yacht Club, this year’s event featured one-design fleets for J/88s, J/105s and J/109s. Drew Hall’s NEVERMORE won the J/88 class with five straight bullets and not having to sail the last race. Second with all deuces was Bill Purdy’s WHIRLWIND, and rounding out the podium was Nicolas Delcourt’s OH JEE in third position.
